A Humble Beginning

Mr. Ebrahim Balwa was the founding member of our family business, he led a very simple existence; he remained a man unaffected by his wealth and status in society. From the humble position of a porter, he had single-handedly raised his position to that of an owner of several restaurants, properties, diverse business enterprises and many more thriving businesses without any familial financial backing. Our family business enterprise was founded in 1903, Café Yadgaar a typical Irani bakery / café, was purchased by Mr. Ebrahim Balwa, which was known for its good, honest, reasonably priced bakery items, food and beverages. Its clients were invariably individuals of modest means and the bakery / cafe gave them a wonderful place to congregate. A man is considered successful by his good deeds and not merely by the financial gains he enjoys, Mr. Ebrahim Balwa was one such noble soul. Our organisational core values are based on the guiding principles of our great founding member – Mr. Ebrahim Balwa which helps us in creating direction and the processes for our organisational development and growth.
